Hello Colin,
We met when you were arriving at Erddig yesterday (Sunday 7th October) and after admiring your beautiful Lanchester and enjoying talking to you (for which my thanks – I hope I didn’t delay you), I had this feeling that we’d met before. That evening I finally remembered where it was – the first Combermere event in October last year! You were there in your Daimler Sportsman whilst we’d taken our Series 3 E-Type Coupe; you had kindly spent a while telling me about it.
So today I managed to find your web pages and was delighted to see the rest of your collection!! Your Daimler Double Six is lovely – I see from the MoT history on the car that you no longer have it on the road, but so good that you chose to preserve it rather than sell it for peanuts! On the classic car side, I only have two Jaguars, the other one being an XKR convertible, but do have a slightly classic 1979 John Deere tractor too!
Very best wishes, Nick
